C&CS Studies Pt.3 (5)

The purpose of this week’s C&CS is to decide what question for the topic for the C&CS report. As I have decided before, which is Why/How is art helps LGBTQ+ community?

As I said it educates people outside the LGBTQ+ people and people within it, as there are people do not know what inside the community though they are within.

Richard talked to me about my question for the Report, some opinions on religion and region need to be considered, as there are places that being homosexual is a crime and even a death sentence. Therefore, more researches needed in different perspectives and more depth to develop.

For instance, in Iran, accordance with sharia law, homosexual intercourse between men can be punished by death, and men can be flogged for lesser acts such as kissing. Women may be flogged. (Bearak and Cameron, 2016)

And I looked for how being in a religion position for people could make them suffer from self-hatred and depression if they were within the LGBT + community. As people around them keep stated that they were not worthy and having sin which made them could not feel love and care. In some cases, they also might commit suicide.
